What is Raw Law?

RAW LAW is the removal of the blindfold from the criminal justice system and exposing it for what it is truly about. It’s raw because the system and those involved are stripped bare and naked for the world to see the truth. RAW because it comes straight at you, trying to make you see that the days of “gaming” are done. Further, it’s RAW because the truth is raw, real, and uncompromising. Lying, manipulation, class, race, perception, ignorance, and many other “children” of the system are so entrenched that it may never change. One thing that can change is the discourse, the discussion, and the debate.

When you read RAW LAW, understand that it is meant to guide a generation that needs guidance and to challenge the generations that have a deep-seated respect for the way things have always been done. That respect and/or fear has cost us a generation and is about to claim another. RAW LAW: A Hip-Hop Guide To Criminal Justice is the first of a three-part series.
